2019 September - Green and Affordable credit facility 
The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a SEK 3 billion (approx. EUR 300 million) financing facility agreement with Heimstaden Bostad for the construction of affordable and energy efficient housing. The investments will support the large-scale construction of affordable housing, thus addressing the severe shortage of residential units in Sweden’s main cities. Part of the investments include community services such as a new library, as well as homes dedicated to elderly care. The new affordable housing units will also benefit from high-energy performance standards

2020 June - Green credit facility
Heimstaden Bostad Denmark entered into a Green credit facility with Handelsbanken Denmark in June 2020. The minimum demand for the properties is Energy class A.

2020 June- September Green Loans
Heimstaden Bostad Denmark finances a large number of its Danish properties with Green Loans via Danske Bank (through Realkredit Danmark) with Nordea and Nykredit.

The transition to a low carbon, resilient and environmentally sustainable economy requires vast amounts of capital, hence, Heimstaden Bostad is proud to utilize these three Banks and their green bond frameworks. Not only to build green buildings but also to be able to finance the buildings with a green loans. 

2020 November - Green bond
Heimstaden Bostad AB successfully priced its inaugural Green senior unsecured bond with a notional amount of SEK 1,200 million. The proceeds from the Green bond issuance will be used in accordance with Heimstaden Bostad's Green Bond Framework dated October 2019, which has received a Medium Green label by CICERO Shades of Green.

2023 September – Sustainability linked Bank Financing 
Heimstaden Bostad raised EUR 700 million in Sustainability-linked Bank Financing through a consortium of banking partners in the Czech Republic. The funds will be used for liability management and to support sustainability investments such as thermal insulation, installation of heat pumps, and renewable fuel shift in Heimstaden Bostad's Czech residential properties.

Heimstaden Bostad raised EUR 700 million in Sustainability-linked Bank Financing through a consortium of banking partners in the Czech Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The funds will be used for liability management and to support sustainability investments such as thermal insulation, installation of heat pumps, and renewable fuel shift in Heimstaden Bostad's Czech residential properties. Specifically, the Company has committed to achieve measurable annual targets in three KPIs: 1) improve the EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) labels’ mix of target properties, 2) Reduce CO2 emission production and 3) Increase the current proportion of tenancies offered to socially vulnerable individuals.
